Gender Equality’ was organized by Özel Sanko Okulları Parent Teacher Association on 6 March 2012 for the International Women’s Day. Among the participants of the panel chaired by Prof. Dr. Bengi Semerci, who also made a speech concerning the creation of career plans for girls, were Assistant Prof. Dr. Dilek Cindoğlu from Bilkent University, Prof. Dr. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan from Istanbul Bilgi University and Vuslat Doğan Sabancı, CEO of Doğan Media Group. While Assistant Prof. Dr. Dilek Cindoğlu delivered a presentation on ‘Women Employment in our Country, Problems and Solution Offers”, Ülke Deniz Arıboğan told the story of her grandmother in her speech entitled women since Ottoman Empire. Vuslat Sabancı talked about the social responsibility projects maintained by Hürriyet Newspaper for women and children, and stated that they would work more efficiently to ensure that press would not involve in gender discrimination.
